Our Mission

The Englewood Home Owners Association was inaugurated in October 1997 to meet the needs and concerns of Englewood taxpayers. The response was monumental, as we have expanded to over 1500 members and would like you to join too.

Our primary purpose is to create a communication link between our fellow taxpayers and our municipal governments. We interact with our City Manager, our Englewood City Councilmen and Mayor and over various City Boards.

The EHOA works to maintain our quality of life, property values, and be mindful of future governmental decisions that may affect us all. The membership is represented at all City Council meetings and subsidiary Board meetings.

We have made a difference! Englewood has hired more police, has enacted better traffic enforcement regulations, and has improved road maintenance and trash removal. These are but a few of our achievements.

To keep our members involved and aware, we mail monthly newsletters.

Our Goals

In order to preserve and increase our home values and our quality of life, these are our goals.

  1. Safety for our homes and families through increased police visibility and presence.
  2. To fight the unfair taxation of our properties.
  3. Safety on our streets through better enforcement of traffic regulations and supplemental traffic signs.
  4. Improved road maintenance, snow removal, trash removal and leaf pick-up.
  5. Identify and correct safety hazards, e.g. broken or lifted sidewalks, dead city trees or branches, and poor lighting.
  6. The preservation of our residential zones.
  7. The overall beautification of our neighborhoods and improvement of our quality of life.
  8. To help and support improvements of our public school system for the benefit of all our children and all Englewood home owners as well.
