Letter From Ruth Baum

To the Membership of the Englewood Homeowners Association,

Eugenia and I whole heartedly thank the EHOA members who contributed in such varied ways to create many successful years of this organization.

Our original idea began, when years ago, robberies were being perpetrated in outrageous numbers in our community and residents were uninformed.  It seemed obvious that interaction was needed between the taxpaying citizens of Englewood and its local government.  The organization had a primary goal to inform and thereby create awareness about our city, its problems, and its functions.  This knowledge would lead to improvements.

There have been articles in our newsletter that have aroused curiosity, anger, satisfaction, and (sometimes) confusion, but the goal has been achieved.  The people of Englewood have additional tools, through knowledge, to take a more vital role in our government.

Eugenia Vogel has dedicated herself toward this end, and has performed a community service that will be impossible to replace.  We hope that the City of Englewood will continue to grow to be a leader among small cities in Bergen County.

Sincerely,

Ruth Baum

Co-President
