New Beneficial Use

Englewood has many beneficial uses and we will be getting a new one soon.  It will be located on North Woodland Street and Palisades Avenue.  A Korean Church has purchased the land from developers who wanted to build 8 luxury townhouses on that site, a project that needed numerous variances and would have broken our zoning laws.  Beneficial uses, especially houses of worship and schools, usually get their way even if neighboring property owners take them to court.  To our knowledge, no plans have been presented to date.

Another beneficial use is on the drawing board.  The Dwight Englewood School will build classrooms for it’s youngest students on their campus on the corner of North Woodland Street and Booth Ave.  Plans are available for public review at City Hall.
