Update on Mandatory Historical Designation

The Planning Board has not passed their recommendation on the Master Plan to date. The issue of mandatory designation of approximately 800 houses as historical, without compensation for the owners, is still on the table. The Planning Board will render their recommendation to the City Council in January or February 2002.

Homeowners that oppose this mandatory proposed ordinance should plan to speak against it before the Planning Board and, if necessary, at the City Council. We will keep you informed.
