B

Percentage of registered voters who voted in this election.

D

Percentage of those appearing at the polls that actually voted for either candidate for Senate.  For example, in the First Ward, 1639 voters appeared at the polls and the two Senate candidates received a total of 1583 votes.  Therefore 97% of the voters that appeared at the polls cast a vote for US Senator.

G

In the County Freeholder election the voters had the opportunity to vote for two candidates.  The percentages would be approximately doubled to determine the breakdown of Democrat vs. Republican candidates.

H

This percentage assumes that no voter voted for only one candidate [i.e. they either voted for two candidates or did not vote for any candidate].

“Other” includes the absentee and provisional ballots.
