Pubic School Test Scores

Englewood public schools showed no consistent
improvements over last year’s test scores according to a presentation at
the Public School Meeting on September 20.
Some subjects were higher and others were lower, with no net
gain. The 11th grade has continued
a 4-year trend of decreasing total scores in state HPT & national

Englewood homeowners are missing at the WTC disaster site. Others have lost or are missing
relatives and friends. Over 5,000
families are in the same situation.
This has proven how vulnerable our country is to terrorism. Write to General Powell, President Bush,
and other members of the government giving them support and asking them to
create a safe America, first and foremost.

Numerous illegal rooming houses on West Hamilton West,
Prospect Street and Pindle Avenue have been discovered by city officials
and appropriate action has been taken.
Surveillance in other streets where possible rooming houses may be
located has been established.
Polls for political elections will be open at
6:00 a.m. starting on November 6, 2001.
Polls for school elections and school referendums will
continue to be open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Annual Meeting
The EHOA will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday,
November 7th at the Women’s Club. We hope that this year you will attend. Members in good standing will be mailed
invitations. Private security will
be at the premises.

Our
dues will remain $15 in order to be inclusive and open to all homeowners
and taxpayers of Englewood. Our Board of Directors is open to
applicants from all areas in the City that wish to give time and effort to
our common goals.
Please
note that voluntary contributions to the publishing of our News Bulletin
will be gratefully appreciated.
Just add an extra $10 to your $15 membership dues for a total of
$25.
