Save Our Trees

While some people find ivy covered trees attractive, and the vines and leaves do provide shelter to birds and other wildlife, after years of growth the weight of the ivy branches can increase the likelihood of wind damage to the tree.  If the ivy reaches the crown of the tree, it could prevent the tree from getting adequate light and air and eventually kill the tree.  If you see trees covered by vines that belong to the City you may contact the maintenance department or Ms. Betina Rance at 201-871-6699.

We must do everything we can to save our trees!
